Our mission & scope
We help people choose and use VPNs confidently. Our coverage includes hands-on reviews, comparisons, use-case guides (streaming, devices, countries), privacy explainers, and tools. Content prioritizes clarity, safety, and practical steps.
Independence & funding
- Editorial decisions (what to test, what to recommend, how to score) are made by the review team, independent of commercial terms.
- We’re funded primarily through affiliate partnerships, disclosed clearly on money pages and in our Affiliate Disclosure.
- Partners cannot buy rankings or favorable coverage. Deals do not change our scoring formula.
Editorial process (how content is made)
- Pitch & scope: We select topics based on reader needs and search demand. Each piece has a clear intent (review, comparison, guide).
- Research & testing: For reviews/comparisons, we perform hands-on tests; for guides, we synthesize reputable sources and our data.
- Drafting: Authors write in plain language with clear structure, prominent takeaways, and safety notes where relevant.
- Fact-check & QA: A second editor verifies claims, links, screenshots, prices, and schema. We check accessibility basics (headings, alt text, focus order).
- Publish & maintain: Pages receive revision notes and review dates. We update when results or policies change.
Reviews, scoring & updates
Our scoring framework is described in How We Test. In short:
- Weighted criteria: Privacy/Security, Streaming/Unblocking, Performance/Speed, Apps/Usability, Support.
- Consistency: Tests run across multiple networks and platforms using repeatable steps.
- Update cadence: Streaming & speed re-checks monthly; policy/audit changes as they occur; full retests after major app updates.
- Revision history: Material updates (score changes, ranking changes) are timestamped in the page footer.
Sources, citations & fact-checking
- We cite primary sources (provider policies, audit reports, developer docs) and reputable publications when needed.
- Every claim about security, privacy, or pricing must be verifiable. Vague or unsubstantiated claims are removed or clearly labeled as opinion.
- Fact-checking includes link verification and date checks (prices, terms, audits can change).
Corrections & feedback
We correct errors promptly. For factual corrections, we update the page and add a brief note (what changed and when). To report an issue, email info@cybervpnhub.com or use our contact form.
Conflicts of interest
- Editors and contributors must disclose any relationships with covered companies (employment, consulting, investments). Material conflicts disqualify participation on that piece.
- Affiliate relationships are disclosed site-wide and on-page near CTAs.
Sponsored content & ads
- Sponsored placements and ads are clearly labeled (“Sponsored”, “Advertisement”) and kept separate from editorial content.
- Sponsorships do not influence our testing process, scores, or rankings.
Use of AI tools
- We may use AI for outline support, style consistency, or grammar. All content is human-assigned, edited, and fact-checked before publication.
- AI outputs are never treated as facts without verification. We do not accept AI-generated vendor claims.

Accessibility & inclusive language
- We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA: clear headings, readable contrast, keyboard navigation, descriptive links, and alt text.
